ELOenterprise - an architecture that performs

The ELOenterprise server has been developed with a high amount of potential performance for demanding enterprise-level tasks, and is based on a multi-tier system architecture.
When designing the software, the main emphasis was placed on configuring the individual functional components of the archive and content server as independent units that combine to produce a powerful architecture overall. This enables ELOenterprise to be operated in a distributed environment with different server components located on different physical machines, so that the entire system is highly scalable.
- The three-tier architecture allows various application and micro servers to be used for the purposes of process automation.
- Implemented in Java, the server components can be integrated simply into existing web portals, irrespective of platform.
- In-house client applications can easily be connected through http or SOAP.
- The archive server stores all document formats, and allows the use of HSM, NAS or SAN systems for the purposes of archiving larger amounts of data, as well as dedicated long-term storage such as jukeboxes or EMC Centera.
- For connection to existing business applications, there is a range of integration options (e.g. a document importer based on XML) as well as links and server components (for example a content server for SAP, ArchiveLink for Lotus Notes, etc.).
- An asynchronous pipelining concept ensures that ELOenterprise Server never misses a beat, even at times of high workload.
