A highlight of ELOprofessional E-government is the option of signing documents and processes electronically. The qualified digital signature used conforms to existing legislation, and enables users to add their legally binding signature to processes and documents, thus controlling corresponding authorization processes.

The standard version of ELOprofessional E-government is already equipped with a powerful archive server, which has once again been enhanced in terms of its capabilities. This server acts as the gatekeeper for all documents and files, providing secure data storage in the archive. For the purposes of long-term archiving, this data can be stored in optical jukeboxes with very large storage capacities, guaranteeing process-secure storage even over several years.
ELO professional E-government optimizes users' daily work, with its open interfaces and existing and improved seamless integration to standard Office applications (including Microsoft Office and OpenOffice). Many functions have also been added in order to automate archiving of e-mail messages. Powerful databases and standard operating system platforms ensure efficient network-based operation. Additional modules such as the Internet Gateway provide standard browser-based data access through the Internet or intranets.
