ELO can be integrated as a central corporate repository into all different kinds of business applications. ELO can process information and documents from ERP systems, AS/400 mainframe computers and other sources.
Captured according to requirements, ELO can automatically index documents or print data streams and initiate additional processes such as workflows, where applicable. The ELO Cold and ELO XML modules ensure that data from central business applications can be automatically imported, indexed and archived.
The use of barcode recognition is practical whenever paper documents have to circulate between various company or customer departments. As a rule, a unique barcode is generated in connection with a lead business application (e.g. ERP system) and applied to the document. If the barcode on a document is scanned subsequently, ELO Barcode will recognise it by itself and assign it to the
appropriate process.
Barcode values are recognised and respective ERP data is assigned. E.g. supplier
name, invoice number, GL codes etc.
