Leitz has been a byword for innovation for many years with its high-quality solutions for the office. The thrust forward
into the electronic world in 1996 led to the development of the Electronic Leitz Organiser ELO, a software package for digital archiving, documentation management and workflow. Conceived mainly for small and medium-sized companies, the high performance of ELO has seen it used more and more in large corporations such as in the SAP R/3 or other ERP environments.
The positive response from the ELO market prompted the Louis Leitz Group to establish the subsidiary Louis Leitz Digital Office GmbH in March 1998. One year after the acquisition of the Louis Leitz Group by the Swedish company Esselte AB, this subsidiary became an independent entity. This was intended to safeguard continuity and the trust built up among ELO customers and business partners.
ELO Digital Office
As an independent company, ELO Digital Office develops products and solutions in the areas of electronic document management and digital archiving, which it sells through a comprehensive network of distributors, dealers and integration specialists.
Under the product name ELO - Electronic Leitz Organiser - document management and archiving solutions are offered to industry, public authorities, hospitals, local councils, tax consultants, lawyers, auditors, the trade sector, service providers, administration, banks, insurance companies, publishing houses and more.
ELO's product family range from an entry-level solution for SMEs (ELOoffice) through to the highly scalable modular client/server systems for large corporations (ELOprofessional and ELOenterprise).
ELO products are being used increasingly by large groups in many different sectors. Among the better known clients are companies such as Lufthansa, MAN, ALSTOM, Debitel, BMW, EADS, DaimlerChrysler, Zott, Süer AG, Commerzbank, the Greek National Bank, BDI, DRK, BKK and state and federal authorities.
ELO Digital Office AU/NZ Pty Ltd was found in 2005 following increased requests from English based markets. ELO Australia / New Zealand has quickly established a reputable network of implementation, reseller and referral partners. The success of ELO in Australia and New Zealand is not only based on ELO's leading products but as well on strict selection criteria when establishing a business partnership.
